i still dont get how to use the online gaming menu for cod 4.
1. is there any way i can invite a friend to my menu/room and then join another room with random peaple playing. if you get wat im saying please give me step by step instructions.

Heres the best way I can explain it
As soon as you select "MULTIPLAYER", "INVITE" your friend(s) and wait for his/hers user name to pop up under yours. Basically either you or your friend (does not matter who)or a person in your party have to invite the others that are going into a game lobby.
Once you have your friend(s) are on your user list you can select the game mode your want to play. Please note that if your in a clan or have a group of ppl(a party). You cannot jump in the mercenary TDM. You can only select standard TDM by default. Also if the host ends a match you have to re-invite everyone that was in your party. Hope this helped you.

Also your friend(s) have to be online playing COD4 for you to be able to invite them. I know its' one of those "Well DUH!!" situations but I rather clarify.

ok here go to play online in cod4 then were it says (find game),(private match),create a class),barracks) and (party invite)stay at that menu and then click partyinvite then wen tyhe player joins go to find game and both of u will always be on the same team with other people on your team against other people aswell
