Hi Guys, i need to fix up a friends PSP for him.
His PSP is pretty old, but he has just updated the firmware as time goes on.
I have seen the unbricker guide to get to a lower firmware using the magic memory stick.
But the Pandora battery? Is this only for newer PSP's? or is it something to do with the firmware?
I bought my psp the same time and i have custom firmware running, but the whole Pandora battery thing scares me before i just jump in.

It does not matter how old his PSP is. The pandora battery is required for any firmware higher than 3.50. So basically you will need to either purchase a hard modded battery from somewhere like ebay, or you can mod it yourself.
