I am getting a wii soon and am hoping to burn me some games for it. What I am wondering is can the wii burn games? I have experience burning 360 games and have done many succesfully do what would I need to know to burn a wii game?

If you're talking making a backup of the original then read & use this thread:

The wii can't burn games.

You might also want to read this on playing out of region games - like a PAL game on NTSC wii.

And of course you need a modchip.

To burn the games (the iso) you can use Imgburn, Nero etc like the other consoles.

No I mean can I burn the .dvd or .iso to a dl dvd and play it on my wii? Also im fixing to read the links

The only dual layer game atm is Super Smash Brawl - all the others fit on a single layer dvd.
More than likely the downloaded game will be an iso file so just use your normal burning program.

You'll need to solder a mod chip in the wii. Not something for a novice at all with the newer ones.
If you get a new wii you'll more than likely have D2C and will need either a Wasabi, Argon, Infectus 2 or D2Pro.

The modchip discussion would be the best thread for looking at the different mod chips. There's also several other threads here discussing them.
