I havent signed on to XBL before since I dont have time for live. I keep playing games @ home and keep getting achievement points. How can I see how much I have totaled up this faw and can someone tell me what they are for. I figure I can buy things on XBL,but not sure.

Any replies would be great.

You can't buy anything with achievment points. These are basically a measuring stick for how far you've gotten in each game. You can check your acheivement score by either logging onto Xbox.com and looking at your gamertag, or by pressing the xbox button on your controller and clicking on your gamertag. Then click view games and it will show how your scores break down for each game.

If you want to buy stuff on Live you need Live Points which are different.

You can't earn Live Points. Live points are purchased.


You can either purchase them directly through xbox live, or you can buy one of those cards that have point codes on them, but as far as I know there is no way of earning Xbox live points.

They are basically Xbox Live Currency.
