I've just fixed my RRoD issue

It's not all good though I still get 2 red lights.

What basically happens is the 360 will boot up as normal then around the time the xbox 360 logo is on screen the fan comes on then the two red lights start flashing and the fan goes to full speed before coming to a sudden halt.

I've tried taking the fan off and it's pretty much the same sequence.

It's puzzling because the console hasn't been on long enough to get heated so I'm assuming it's detecting the lack of a fan or a working fan and shutting off before any damage can be done to it.

Do I need a new fan?

If so then what would you guys recommend, thanks.

Yeah, get you a Whispermax fan. Don't order from consoleshop.com, they are a scam company and say you will get your item in 5-6 days and its 5-6 weeks from China.

I got a Talismoon whisper quite for the rear and installed an extra XCM front fan CPU heat sink nice and cold
A little more noise but if you got heat trouble this is for you.

mine was doin same thing. its cuz i didnt have the heatsink tightend on the dye just right. try adjusting it. i still gotta mess with mine some more cuz my fans are constantly on high

Funny thing is I actually recompiled it and suddenly it just booted up.

It's been working fine but the fan is constantly on high speed it's even louder than usual.

Setting it up sitting next to it I coulda sworn I nearly went deaf it ias such a noisy fan!

yup yours is doing exactly what mine does now. do u get any artifacts or graphic glitches while playing? mine did that at 1st and i tighntend the heatsink a little more. but ya my fan runs full speed after being on maybe a minute

Yes I've been playing FIFA 08 and it seems to have a slow down where it temporarily freezes for like a second.

I guess I've got more work to do with the 360, I have yet to flash it too which is causing me another headache.

Are you planning to do anything about the graphical glitches and fan noise because I'd be grateful if you shared your ideas with me.

well i fixed my glitches. it was just cuz i didnt have the heatsink on te dye tight enough or level. the fan running on high im stumped on. goto xbox-scene.com forums. im sure they could help ya out

I recommend you get a Talismoon Whispermax like me.I got mine in 2 business days from Amazon.com.And to top it all off,I even got an aurora blue light kit.I recommend either make your own fan mod like some people on youtube Ive seen,or order the Talismoon WhisperMax fans.
