I have been reading recently that the PSP is able to play old PS ONE games. I understand how to rip the games, etc.
BUT, could anyone tell me if they will work on a slim PSP running the ORIGINAL software of version 3.90 ?
I have read some reports saying it will and others saying it won't!!!
Not tried as yet - thought I'd ask you lot as the answres I have had from here before have been very reliable.

Unfortunately it will NOT run games you rip yourself, you will need to install custom firmware for that. It will however run games you buy from the PS Store (either through a PS3 or on the internet).
If you do install custom firmware, click the link in my sig for a guide on how to convert the games.

you won't be able to play ripped games till u have custom firmware and been on ORIGINAL software of version 3.90 you will need a pandora battery and memory card
