Hi all,

I took my Box-t out of its package tonight, ready to install it..., only to hear a lose piece moving around inside. It looks like a heat sink...., haven't opened the box..., just looking through the vents on top. The chip that was under this is still in place.

My question is......, should I return it to where I bought it....., or is it harmless????? what is its function?

The following link www.starviewpic.150m.com[b] will show you what is loose inside (the silver plate is highlighted with a red circle.

Thanks Guys - really appreciate help.

Thanks Scouser,

Well I was thinking I would be waiting for another week, plus with the cost of regestered postage...., and they'll probably give me the same unit back after they open it. I maybe just better off sticking it back myself with some heatsink glue from Maplin... My fear is would it be safe?????

On another topic Scouser...(if you don't mind, you seem be very experienced and seem to know alot about these systems looking at past posts). I have auto scanned in channels, and am getting 92 channels in total...., but some others are available for Man u TV and so on. If I know their Freq..., how can I tune them in manually in this unit. If I go into Manual Scan...., it gives me already known transponders...., but doesn't allow me to add new ones...., I am afraid of wiping the old ones..., If I add freq over an exsisting transponder display. Just wondering if you know anything????

many thanks Scouser.

Yep a good quality heatsink glue will do the job. The amount of channels for your area is about right over MMDS, and you cannot get certain channels although they are updating MMDS areas ATM and some additional channels have become available on MMDS, but its 92 for now sorry.
