euro vox max 2006 made worse by me?

I Have a 2006 black eurovox max. It had been displaying the 'please wait re-coding' for 2 weeks. I'm in north west england. I got frustrated and started tampering. I accidently reset factory settings and there isn't a factory setting region near me. The signal is now non existant and if I did get signal back it would be re-coding. What can I do? Is it repairable or is a new box likely to work?
