The Ireland's largest internet service provider Eircom has stood up against the five big record companies. Eircom was sued by the Irish RIAA for allowing illegal sharing to happen in their networks. The companies claim that Eircom's networks are being used "on a grand scale" for sharing copyrighted material. ........... as well as all downloading...seems tome they want to toss the baby out with the bath water because they cannot molest it....

OMG sony are suing themselves for facitating copywrite infringement for making dvd/cd/blu-ray burners, blank media, printers, camcorders, flashdrives, vcr's, minidisc and mp3 players!

But on the other hand data has shown ppl are still happy to purchase media from talented artists, and digital sales have increased faster that the decline of physicial media but ppl don't purchase the rubbish that the riaa churns out!

To blame Eircom for their (the recording companies) problems is passing the buck.Just because the recording companies cannot control downloading does not give them the right to blame others for their follies.

Every time I see a story like this one about the mafiaa I want to hurl on my monitor. Just proves this quote I once heard..."stupidity is more plentiful than hydrogen and has a longer shelf life". Zappa was right and the mafiaa proves it time and again. Time to go clean my monitor!

Well said matey, well said indeed. The wife and I are going to see Roger Waters playing Darkside Of The Moon tour for a second year running. Now thats music worth listening to and of course worth paying for. Not everyones cup of tea, but a hell of a talent none the less.
