I am planning to buy a Plextor type PX504A.

Will I be able to copy all DVD-types ?

The PX504A is a +R +RW burner only. I would spend the exrta money and get the PX708A which is dual format. My 1st purchase was a + burner only. Found out later I needed to burn -R media sometimes. Had to purchase another dual format burner. Just a little advance thought. The burner itself won't copy dvds without the proper software. You will need something like DVDShrink, DVDdecrypter, Clonedvd, Anydvd, DVD X copy to name a few. Once you get the burner, look up the guides on here and pick the software you like the best. DVDShrink is free and is the choice of many on here. It needs a burner program to burn back to media like Nero. A good starting choice.
