My 360 just had the RED ring of death earlier this morning and i DID the 20min towel trick and WAHLA thing works like new but im scared it might Bleed again LOl...CAN THE X CLAMP TRICK STILL WORK ????

if you have the E74 RROD, you're pretty much screwed. there's no way to fix E74.

Occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure
I did a Google search and some say it?s the Ethernet port
I removed x-clamps
Backed it by running with out fans
But could not get past this error e74
I sold 360 on eBay for spares and repairs

im still confuse about the e74 rrod ..

how do i no if my xbox have that ?...

Lower right quadrant led flashing RED

Black screen with the error code telling you to contact Microsoft

Don?t know for any fix or tuts to fix. I could not fix mine

Sell it for spares and buy a new or second hand 360

oh mines didnt have that black screen with error thingy ..

it was just the rrod and blank black screen ..it didnt say nothing about contacting microsoft place

you think the x clamp still works ?

You could try the x-clamp fix again reset the CPU and GPU heat sinks
Who knows it might work, how old is the 360?

I thought Microsoft extended the warranty to 3 years?
So if you haven?t yet tried the fix it should still be under warranty
That?s assuming it not been opened or Modded in any way

doesnt matter if its been flashed, as long as your warranty seal is fine send it in.

Who ever flashed may have left the sticker intact and with no marks on the 7 holes at rear you could send back. Chances are Microsoft wont even turn it on they will just replace motherboard and DVD drive because they know they are shite.
