Planning to buy xbox 360, so some Questions :)

Hey guys :)
I'm planning to buy the "xbox 360 CORE system" and buy the "HDD seperately" (20 OR 120 GB, depending on how much cash I have left :P)
Also, can any1 tell me hte rates for both the "xbox 360 Hard-drives" ??? :)
Also, I'm going to attach a mod-chip to my "xbox 360" too :)
So, how much will the cost go to ??? o_O
I really searched ALOT but I'm getting too many mixed answers :)
Also, after attaching the mod-chip, can we use an "external hard-drive" or a pen-drive for storing games etc. >_>
And also, am I doing right by buying a core system over the premium one ??? o_O
We can attach the HDD to the "xbox 360 CORE" system too right ??? o_O
What are the disadvantages of the CORE over the PREMIUM besides those games we're getting free >_>

lol acidy, you're a senior member??? To find the price difference between the 20 GB and the 120 GB, all you had to do was google it and there's your answer. Or look at e-bay. Same with the mod chip. No offense sir, but you seem a little lazy. You could have found the answers in the time it took you to write your thread. The HDD can be attached to the core system. I thought about being cheap like you and buy them separately, just found cheaper and better to just buy the Premium. Plus, all the Core 360s had the old chipsets in them (this was in Feb 2008 at my Wal Mart) and the Premiums had the Falcons. Just make sure you buy the 360 at a store so you can make sure it's a Falcon, look for 175 watts, etc.

he is from the psp forums they post about a lot of nothing there ;)
but for your answers.
1.Google for the prices of the HD's
2.No Modchip you will be Flashing your 360
3.Core comes with wired controller no HD, Premium comes with wireless controller and HD.
4.Click the Sticky at the top of the forum that says mod/hack FAQ and download textbooks tutorial on everything 360 modding..actually read it and then come back when you have questions.

Yeah you gotta understand even if he's a senior member doesn't mean he's been in this section. I'm completely new to this seaction and it says I'm member. I came from the PS2 forum, besides that I haven't been on this site in a long time.

Actually, I'm not lazy :P
I do not have much spare time to sit and I do much of my things as fast as I can :D
So, I think while searching for the x360 things that I want, I was kinda in a hurry to go to college (for my exams) and that's why I may have got mixed answers :D
Yes I did google before I asked the forum and I did try on eBay too >_<
But so many people are selling for so many different prices (as anyone who goes on eBay can notice, even apart from the bidding) and that's why I want to juz ask how much does it EXACTLY costs and eBay may not be selling mod-chips and so, some sites sell mod-chips for their OWN prices >_<
And I'm not much into in this section as "I do not own" an x360 >_>
And well, your answer has somewhat cleared my doubts >_<
I still did not get the correct rates of a "new" xbox 360 HDD >_< (As in eBay you get most of them USED) and also, in eBay, you get most of the x360s with a game which I really don't want >_<
Oh well, I'll have to wait for my exams to get over to "properly" search for my answers >_<
Thanx for telling me the advantage of the Premium over the CORE though >_>

i wouldnt get the elite, it seems that 95% of them have the hitachi 79, so he wouldnt be able to flash it or chip it. juts get the pro, or an arcade, 95% of the arcades have the benq, easiest drive in the world for flashing.

It?s a lottery with a 360 drive you don?t know what you?re getting until you open it up
I don?t know anyone in UK with the elite thats had a 79 yet.
most are BenQ but it?s not imposable

go pro or arcade, personally i would go pro, also you dont need a mod chip, and yes you will get banned. eventually

all depends there is a risk but my first xbox is still not banned...
only 1:1 backups created by me and my xbox is all good...and that in my opinion is the safest way to go.
