It says on the top of the drive but usually the older models are ms25
|

The MFR Date is 10/27/2007, & from the drive tray look it looks like a BENQ drive.

it is a benq, easiest to flash.

go with the second one, its the one i use, and works perfectly. and for usb flashing, use iprep.

Sorry I don't think you understanded me for the usb flashing part I meant if there was a specfic flash drive I should use (I know iprep is the software I need)?

any usb thumb drive will work. i use PNY ones, but thats just because they were on sale at staples on black friday.

Also can you tell me exactly what tools I need, each tutorial for some reason claims something Anandtech claims t6, t7, t12, while others claim all I need is a t10?
Can anyone help me out of this confusion?

all you need is a t10, and a 'key' to unlock the back of the case, i made mine from the plastic casing of a spindle of dvds.

google.com and search it, or ebay, amazon.com, idk, i just used the plastic one i made, been using it for 3 years and it hasnt failed my yet.
