PAL wii fit on a JAP wii console

hellp everybody and congratulation for the interesting forum.
i tried without success to find answers about my situation : just bought a PAL version of wii fit, and it asks for a firmware update.
i have japanese console with 3.2J vrsion installed via internet: does anybody experienced same situation?
can i update from the disc (double channels would be not a big issue, i just want to avoid brick).
