is it possible to update the firmware on the chip with a dvd upgrade, or do you need the infectus usb

You need the Injectus to update firmware since the 13 +4 wire install is the only option for ARGON at this time.

Infectus is working on porting the 9 wire WASABUS firmware to ARGON which includes a DVD upgrade option but as of yet this has not been released.

Even then you will probably need the Injectus to install the WASABUS firmware onto the ARGON before you can use the DVD upgrade option.
