My Solution to Fix Wiikey not work after update

My wii was 3.2E Pal. I updated wiikey to 1.9s (Download from net). Was working fine, until I played wiisport, and/or unplug the power and/or play Super Mario Galaxy wiikey suddenly not read back-up disc, only original disc is working, which I believe a lot of people have similiar problems. I manage to fixed it, so I would like to share with anyone with same problem:

Step 1. You need a copy of the Wiikey recovery disc (I think is v1.9)
Step 2. Back up all your saved data to a SD card (Skip this step if you have nothing to backup)
Step 3. Insert the Wiikey recovery disc
Step 4. Go to "wii setting" and format your wii, then switch your wii back on.
Step 5. "Hopefully" your Wii can read backup again !!!

P.S Your Wiikey is back to firmware ??? if you want to play Mario Kart, SMG...etc you may need to update your Wiikey again.

Finally Good Luck !!! I hope this works to people have the same problem.

That dosent make sense. The wiikey and wii are seperate firmwares. Formatting the wii system memory wouldnt have any effect on backups playing or not.

I think what happened was that your wiikey firmware was corrupted somehow and you just werent leaving the recovery disk in long enough to fix it until you formatted the system memory, which I would imigine takes a little while.

could have told me this before i spent 50$ changing modchips..but then again penguin is probably right..
