my burnt xbox 360 games wont work

hey guys, i had my 360 chipped (flashed) about 4 years ago (it was the first generation of xbox 360's) and have been playing burnt games on it ever since. however, i tried to download GTA 4 last night and burn it to disc. (i used X360 ISO hacker to patch and then burn the iso file) However the disc doesnt seem to be working in the xbox.. it goes to load and then the control panel enters the screen telling me it was unable to be read? any thoughts? cheers

What type of disc are you using? what speed are you burning the disc? Are you sure you have the correct GTA version (NTSC if USA)?

well if you downloaded the 101 release of GTA or even the ICON release, there was no need to patch it, as they both were already stealthed. and which is your drive, flashed or chipped as these are two totally different things, and chipped drives need the games burnt differently from flashed drives, as im sure you are aware of if your drive is chipped. also, what kind of disc did you use, burn speed.

The version i downloaded is called GTA IV_MULTI5_PAL_READNFO_XBOX360-ICON-2. im using a DVD-R dual layered disc (8.5GB), i burnt at 2x write speed.. im pretty sure it was flashed. but im not 100%. how would i know? what can i try differently this time?..

if you live in the us, you need the NTSC version. i hope you know that tho after 4 years.

Considering the 360 was released in Nov '05 and it's April '08, it hasn't even been out 3 years. But anyway, use DVD+R DL discs. I've heard the -r won't work.

Im having the same problem i have downloaded both versions( icon and 101) and it booted up once fine but now it says the disc is dirty. My drive is flashed and every other game i have burnt works perfect. I dont know whats going on i have tried the lowest speed possible and still i get the same problem? is anyone else encountering these problems that have a flashed drive?? thanks

thanks for pointing out useless information for me.. its rather helpful. its good to see that ur using ur mind to store useless information like that instead of useful information like solving the problem. but ur far too concerned about being a smart arse and showing just how much crap uve got stored in ur head to all ur other geek mates. and no its not obvious to me the mechanics of my xbox or the games. i know what i need to know and that is that i get my xbox flashed and get burnt games from the same person. no technical q's asked. oh if we all knew everything about everything, there would be no forums in the first place. and no i dont live in the U.S.. thank bleep

just to confirm -r doesn't work ixtreme or most other mods (not sure if its supported AT ALL):)

yes +r verbs only, however they are messing with the verb media, 2 diff kinds out now and one is junk, do a search and read up about it on the net.
