GTA4 Disc Issues?????

I just picked up GTA4, Took it home and put it into my ps3 and It won't work
I think I might have a defective disc..... The game went through its install and then after the install completes and the intro movie starts the game crashes about 40/50secs into the intro....
The audio drops 1st and then the video continues upto the point where the cook drops the diamond into the soup, and then the system crashes......
All my other games/movies work fine absolutely no issues.....
Is this just happening to me? Or is anyone else being affected by similar?

Delete the HDD info and reinstall. The data may have gotten corrupted during the install process.

Okay, So i deleted all game data and reinstalled,but now it just hangs on the 'the Cousins Bellic' screen.
I know disc issues are rare but I can't pin any other reason for this, anyone got any other ideas?

Just to update you all and thank you for ye're help....
I had to format my system to get it working,
Deleting the game data didn't work for me and I tried a format as hail mary before I returned the game and its worked out.

Whoa!?!?!?! I wonder if that would have worked with my 60gb. I had an issue that required to delete the game data utility just to get the disk image to show up in the xmb when a blueray game or DVD is inserted. Originally an issue with Assasins Creed but seem to eventually spread to all games for me. Hopefully that is another fix for the issue...............
Im pretty sure there will be an update patch sooner or later if there is an overall issue with certain disks of GTA4.
