Hi ALL,

Newbie here. I have a question that I'm hoping someone can give me some advise. Trying to flash my Hitachi 59 drive but I get an error when I run the Slax2 program. Here is is error when the Slax2 boots up:

Loading USB drives... fatal error occurred -
LiveData not found. Searching for livecd.sgn filter, but file not found. You are maybe using an unsupported boot device (eg. SCSI or PCMCIA CD-ROM). Try to copy all data from CD/USB to your IDE harddisk, for example to /mnt/sda1/alldata/ in Linux or C:/alldata in Windos. Then boot again.
* Something went wrong and we can't continue. This should never happen.
* Please reboot your computer with ctrl+alt+del...
ash: can't access tty; job control turned off

I tried disabling my USB in the Bios and still had no luck. I have an ASUS motherboard with SATA (Asus p5k-e). I belive I should have the correct hardware to flash my drive. In my Bios, I see my IDE cdrom drive and Hitachi drive, so I think its sees my drives ok. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

try using the 2 wire trick

try the original slax cd. i've read other peoples posts that they couldnt get slax2 to work, but the original slax worked fine for them.

2wire trick worked like a charm. This method is the way to go.
