Opening Wii to manually activate Wiikey after bad flash

Ok I have tried every possible way to recover my Wiikey using Wiikey recovery disc but nothing has worked. So the question I have is, If I open up my Wii, and desolider one of wires from the wiikey, and then soldier it back on, Will it enable the wiikey again? Is there anyway of enabling the Wiikey Manually. I am very good at soldering.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly apperciated.

Desoldering wires isnt going to do anything. If the recovery disk isnt working then either the chip is fried or one of the wires came loose.

Open it up and check your connections. If they're all good then order a new wiikey. If you're as good soldering as you say it should be pretty easy to install a new one.

Penguin thanks for the replay. What you say makes sense. Will opening up the Wii at least let me know if my wiikey is fryed? Is there any sign to let me know that I need to get a new wiikey or just keep trying the recovery method?

Buy a new chip if resoldering wont help, its most likely dead,

wiimii what do you mean resoldering?? So resoldering the wiikey can activate the Wiikey again???

Resoldering will not "activate" it again, it will fix any previous solder issues that may be causing ur chip not to function properly.

By resoldering he ment if something had come loose or if a solder point was bridged.
