i have just benn informed that... nah anyway by bro says that there is this shop in china town. and they charge $90 AUS and u will be able to play burnt games. and oncew u do that. if u pay an extra 150. they tell you how to copy the games and give u everything u need and all the programs and stuff.
can i just pay the 90? and i can read up on the net how to burn the games cant i? and i can torrent all the neccesasry programs right?

$90 for flashing the drive. HA it cost me like maybe $10 or $15 to do myself.
EDIT: as for burning games there is a sticky on that.

yea, the programs they are 'charging' you for, are all free, and can be found via google, just search, imageburn to burn with, and xbox backup creator to make the image with via a kreon flashed samsung dvd-rom that can be bought from ebay. and there are plenty of good guides on here for free that will tell you how to burn games. and if you still cant get it figured out, just ask some questions, and im sure someone will answer it for ya.

samsung shd-162c dvd-rom drive. it is capable of reading the 360 discs without doing the 'hotswap' method of 'normal' dvd drives.

what question???? Here here is the answer, you are a moron if you pay $90 bucks to some chinese man to flash your 360 for you. Im not calling you a moron but if you make that decision that what you should change your user name to.
here is the answer, dont pay 90 bucks to that guy. do it yourself and save $50 bucks. There are so many tutorials on how to flash your drive. And then once you flash your drive you can play backups. THERE are many tutorials stickied here, so just read a few.

if money isn't a problem, why are you still debating what to do. Go have the chinese go f up you system so you can by another 360 and keep taking it to the same guy and buying knew one's until you finally realize after multiple posts and stickied threads that you can do it by your self for easily $25 bucks, and know what your doing to your xbox and re-flash if need be.
What are you talking about??? Money isn't a problem for your brother. If thats the case tell him to go out and spend his money on random crap. Maybe then are economy won't be so bad. Or better yet donate to me or this site.

no, your not making me mad at all. And no meaning he is chinese has nothing to do with f ing it up. Im just trying to tell you regardless if you have loads of money that you should just do it yourself. Im sure you could use the money some other way, and it will also be a nice fun project for you. And hey you also get to learn something. But besides all that, the point for doing it yourself is just so that if you need to you can re-flash it with a newer version of the flash, or restore your HD. But once again its todally up too you. If you really dont want to go through the trouble of ordering a pci card i understand. Just remember IF your 360 breaks, its dead. Unless its an easy fix, which right now seems like you wont do, you cant send it back to M$ because the chinese dude most likely wont care if he breaks the warrenty or not.
Just my 2 cents. Do what you want though.

thankyou for your concern. i appreciate that. but the chinese guy did my bro's and it seems to work ok. so when my bro said hell take mine for him to do it. it was like i had nothing to loose. he did it to my bro's it works, i dont have to do anything and i dont have to pay anything.
