I posted my burning problem a couple weeks ago and got recommendation to use verbatim-r disk. Well, I got that disk but still all most all disks are not recognized at wii.
This is what I have so far
d2ckey (no clip)
all org. games are working fine.
have TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632H and used imgburn (tried all 2, 4, 8x)
working backup games (disk, speed)
Ultimate Duck Hunting (TDK+r 2.4x)
The Legend of Zelda, Wind walker (TDK+r 2.4x)
Dance Dance Revolution Hotest Party (Verbatim-r 2 and 4x)
I've tried,
Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi,
Game Party,
Mario Kart,
Rayman Raving Rabbits,
SEGA Superstard Tennis,
Tomb Raider Anni.,
wii Chess,
RTL Winter Sports,
etc..
They did not work on any speed on any media.
You can see how many disk I've wasted so far :(
What is wrong and what can I do next???
Thanks..
I got wii from Amazon so I assume it's US.
Games I've tried I'm not sure - how can I check the region of games?
But I did the optional wire for region override but did not change jumpers though, don't know what to do about it.
What should I select, patch for PAL or USA NTSC?
Find out what region you have by going to system settings then in the upper right hand corner there will be a number & letter similar to below...
3.2U - U = USA NTSC(U)
3.2J - J = Japan NTSC(J)
3.2E - E = Europe (PAL)
I have never heard of an application that can check region via game backup. But you can rip the game to the PC via IMGBurn and then load the ISO into Wii brick Blocker and check region that way.
If you have the region override settings wrong this could cause issues as well. If you don't have them connected at all then out of region game disc will not work at all.
Look at the system settings and give us the letter that is followed by the number in the top right hand corner.
I checked and it was 3.1U so I now know I got US NTSC for sure :)
So do I need to set the jumper to patch for USA NTSC?
This might be it? I will do this tomorrow, my tools at work.
I'm glad I did not throw disks out.
Thanks so much!!
