Hey, after trying to play the JPN version of Brawl a while back and having the system partially bricked, we were able to recover from the brick with the current US release of brawl. However,the Wii is acting as though there is no longer a mod chip. Not really sure what to do. It wont load config disks, the so called 'recovery disc' doesn't seem to do anything..


Any suggestions? Really.. anything would be amazing.

The recovery disk is supposed to look like nothing is happening. Put the disk in and let it sit for awhile. They reccomend 3-5 minutes but I've heard it can take up to 10.

And as for your semi-brick problem, trying to unbrick with a different region of the same game that bricked you isnt going to work. You need to use a more recent game from your wii's home region. Wii fit and mario kart both contain a more recent update than brawl, boot one of them from your region and it should unbrick you.

We did recover from the semi-brick. It's all .. un-bricked. I will load up the recovery disc and wait like 20 mins.
