change gamertag for free?

my buddy was tell all of his friends that we should go to his xbox live profile and start doing what ever it is to say that his gamertag is offiencive (sorry but i forgot exactly what you do or whats it called)
but he said if enough people did that, that microsoft would make him change his gamertag...
does this really work because i would like to change mine!!

I doubt they'd ban you. My girlfriend's sig/profile has been changed about five times because she keeps putting in 'Yes I have boobs'. Of course MS finds anatomy offensive, but all they do is keep deleting it. At this point it's kind of a mini-game to see how long MS keeps it up.

that is different that is for a bio, when it is concerning a gamertag they do not suspend you, reason being is cause you cant make one that bad for it to happen. that why you cant make certain gamertags. so just have of your friends tell ms that your gamertag is inappropiate. i have friends who do this all the time instead of buying point. i personally just buy the points. but then again i've only changed mine once. long story short, yes its free, not they dont ban or suspend you, just make you change it.

stop asking dumb questions and just pay the $5 to change it. Hell you pay $50 a year to be on it. So im sure 5 means nothing to you, funny thing is your parents will probably pay for it anyway.

I dont see how being dishonest really affects it. I mean on one hand it does, because it is wrong to be dishonest, and i totally support that. But what does it matter if he cheats MS out of however much it costs to change his gamer tag, they are a multi million, or multi billion dollar company, and the price that you have to pay to change your gamertag is most likely a complete rip off. and if you are complain about people dishonest and cheating companies out of money, i hope to God that you dont have a modded box, because they you need to look in the mirror about being dishonest.

Actually, I don't have a modded 360, rather just buy games instead of stealing them. I went to college, and now have a good job, and can afford it. Ok sure son, it's ok to cheat MS because they are a multi-billion dollar company?? That's real smart, quit lying to yourself please. So from your reasoning, it's ok to shoplift from Wal Mart because they are a multi-billion dollar company? You need help and need a job, sir.

we are in a new age were pirating is every where. its kinda hard to avoid it when at walmart they have a CD for $15 when you can simple just download it. thats how america is now. if you've got a problem with that, then just turn your head and look the other way because pirating is my way of life!!!
