Best Writer for 360 backups?

I have a Pioneer 111D which has served me well but it's starting to show it's age.

Burning DVD-R's it frequently stops and then carries on.

With dual layer burns it just stops in the middle of the burn and freezes.

I need a new Writer and since my Pioneer 111D has served me well for so long I'm thinking about purchasing another Pioneer drive.

I was wondering if anybody had any other advice about the best choice for burning 360 games, thanks.

almost any burner should do that supports DL burns!

brands suggested

NEC
lite-on
sony
Phillips

if i can suggest a burner;0

and any OEM produced drive (like dell and such)

get one from here, even ebay is a good source;)

i use a 60$ mad dog burner i bought 3 years ago which was very very cheap at the time, and it has been one of the most reliable burners i ever owned. i use that along with verbs, and img burn.

no samsungs?? why not, i've had mine for 2 years, and it has yet to make a bad burn on anything, games, movies, cds. my 111d was a POS in my opinion. it only lasted about a year, before it started to make crap burns for movies and music cds.

internal, you can get one now for 30 40 bucks .. my buddy had a pioneer and was burning all diff kinds of media, exe. audio cd's, dvds, games. and i think that stresses the laser out. i dunno. i do the same thing with mine though, and like i said it works fine, i didnt even consider buying a new burner when i started flashing as i had high hopes for mine. btw i am still running the orignal 2005 firmware on my Burner too. lol just cant beat it.
