Just thought I'd bring this game up. MGS4 is undoubtedly the greatest game to be released this year, in fact it's looking to be one of the greatest games of all time.
If another thread hasn't nominated itself as being the *official* thread, we should make this thread the official one. God knows there will be plenty more threads popping up (just like GTA IV).
But yeah definitely looking forward to this game. I'm gonna pre-order this either tomorrow or Tuesday. After that, I'll be set with my gaming until launch day.

Anyway, from what I've seen and played, Metal Gear Solid 4 looks absolutely brilliant. The amazing story comes to and end. And the gameplay is great in MGS4, as are the graphics. This game really will be making use of the PS3s power and the Blu-ray disc (heck, they even had problems fitting the game on that 50GB disc).
I simply can't understand the hype surrounding GTA4. I find it to be a good time, but nothing that I will always remember as one of the greatest games ever (IMO it is reptitive like other games in the series). MGS4 on the other hand...
I cant wait for MGS4. Ive almost finished the main story of GTA IV now, so im gonna need some new games to play to help me survive until June 12th. Has anyone seen the new trailer? Its called the Revived trailer. I think we get to play back flashbacks of snakes memory, like in the trailer we see actual gameplay footage of snake at shadow moses, with PS3 graphics! It looks a lot better, and looks quite spooky. I recommend anyone who hasnt seen it to go and see it now, I think its in English aswell. I wonder if this means that some time in the future there will be another remake of MGS1? but probably not. I liked twin snakes alot, its just those over the top cut scenes spoil it a bit. I hope that MGS4 gets as much praise as GTA IV got, but I really doubt that will happen. I bet there wont even be a tv advert shown, at least not here in the UK. Final Fantasy used to be my favourite series but now MGS has took over, after playing MGS3 and Portable Ops, and replaying the original MGS 1. FFs gettin to Futuristic
What do you guys think about drebin points? Personally I hate them because of the fact that they're too easy to get but mainly because they come and go for a single match meaning that anyone can use the best weapon in the game in their first match which takes all the fun out of earning things.
I expect a lot of reviews praising the game, including a 10/10 from Gamespot and IGN. There is just no reason why MGS4 shouldn't be getting a 10 if GTA4 did, considering all the flaws it has.
Yeah something is definitely fishy about gta4 getting a 10/10 after playing it for just half an hour. Anything less than a 10/10 for mgs4 would be an insult imo.
