Ok i have my xbox and computer still opened and i needa just get this done. . Anyway i've been using "Hacking The X-Box 360 For Noobs" guide. I have a BenQ drive and i'm running the iPrep from a Hard Drive partition. I have 2 SATA cables in my computer (I guess conected to my main board), it's from an Nvidia NFORCE thing so it's the right brand to do a BenQ drive. I have 2 things connected to it, my DVD Burner and my Harddrive. I went through device manager and figured out which was which. And connected it to the one from my DVDBurner. Set up iPrep. Loaded it with the Iso I burned in the DVDDRive to launch that NTFS for DOS thing. Anyway after i went through all the commands to load the D drive (the letter assigned to my partition). But when i get to the iPrep boot, Right after entering dBen and my serial number. It says that MkDir Backup failed or something like that.Anyway i still tried and i needa go through the thing where i turn on, turn off, then turn back on the XBOX, where the status is supposed to change to 0xD1, but mine starts there and never changes nomatter if i turn my Xbox on and off.
So what do i needa do to fix this?
thanks PLEASE Help!!!!
BTW i Just Baught GTA4, so i really wanan get thios working so i canplay that thing. Then spend hours and hours figuring out how to back it up lol
The only thing I can think of, if it doesn't change is that it's plugged into the wrong SATA port....from my experience if there was something else wrong it still goes from 0xD1 to 0x51 and then when it is off it's just 0xD1....I would just never get 0x73 or w/e it is.
I was having a similar problem...the one I described in my last response, I ordered a VIA Sata Card, and I hacked 3 xboxs in like 15 minutes, it was so easy and ran into absolutely no problems.
Mines stayed at 0X7F or 0X7! somethin like that but I cant remember but it never changed numbers. Anyways, it flashed perfectly fine with my nForce chipset motherboard (XFX 680i LT mobo)
