ok first off. please do not spam this thread and ask your own questions here. I have read countless threads about this "leasefail" message and always ended up in some tangent reading about how some idiot tried to load Linux without a keyboard. so please
do not change the topic of this thread!
and if you are looking for a walk through on how to do install the OS go to youtube and find a video and you can follow along.
so now that the air is clear o with the tech assistance! hahaha
im sure everyone is familiar with the message they get after installing linux and after the disk ejects and the PS3 reboots the get a message that looks similar to this...
what i am looking for is one individual that knows what this means, why it occurs and how to resolve this issue. I am new to this but i at least know that I have to use a frggn keyboard, and can burn a .iso file correctly (man that makes me mad. I have a 60 gig and i allowed 10gb to the PS3 and did a quick format. then downloaded linux 6.0 from the terrasoft site. I used imgburn to write the disk and verify it at 2x speed (read somewhere to try and burn it slower, but no one actually verified if that reolved this issue). I have my network setup and can stream files, and get online in the ps3 like normal. I followed videos on youtube (created by teamsony i think, the pair of videos to install on an SD TV, yes i have an SD TV, i dont see how this would be a problem if i tell it i am using an SD TV, whatever). so what i am looking for is an answer to how to understand this issue and correct this issue. if you need any more info let me know. I hope this thread turns into something that can be concrete and valuable to this error message and THIS ERROR MESSAGE ALONE!!! sorry for yelling but i have my feathers ruffled after a ling weekend of this issue.
Read the rules. You can't bump old threads. If people knew the answer to your question it would be answered. Have you tried the YDL or Ubuntu forums. Maybe you can find your answer there.
Yes, please don't bump. Everyday I get on and check for unanswered forums. If your question hasn't been answered then the people who know the answer are busy, or we just don't know the answer.
