Please Help... New to Burning

Ok, to start out, i have read the Stickey'd threads about how to burn games. I have done what they have said but yet i cant get it to work. I am using the drive that came with my computer, it is a DL drive. I dont know if its that. I also am using the Memorex Purple DL disks. I couldnt pass up the deal 25 bucks for the 50 pack. Ok so i have wasted 5 disks in attempts to burn a game, i have downloaded the games i want. Some are PAL versions but say there free region and the info says its prepatched. So i go to CloneCD and go to write the ISO on the disk. I use the .DVD file and everytime it fails. I just cant figure this out and i dont know if anyone could help or not but i would highly appreciate it.

I have heard that clonecd only really works if you have the purchased version. You should also try imageburn. Ive made the switch and never looked back.
Also post more information about your problem. Specifically what version of clonecd, have you purchased a license, what burn speed are you using, have you checked the iso with xdvdmulleter, and any other info about your problem.

CloneCD Version 5.2.8.1. It does have the license, and i use 4x burn speed its the slowest the memorex does sadly... and no i have not checked the iso but i will look up xdvdmulleter... maybe my drive needs an update on firmware? My model drive is HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-H20L. Thanks for the repsonse

1. Try IMGburn
2. Get rid of the Memosux discs. They are pretty much the worst you can buy. You did not save money, you wasted it.
1. open newest version of IMGburn
2. go to mode and select ?write?
3. now browse for and select the .DVD file you just made
4. Select your burning speed, and booktype the media to DVD-Rom if your burner can booktype
5. hit start and burn it.

alright so i have been wasting dvd dls like crazy and now i finally got it to download, but it says unreadable in my xbox... what i downloaded was a PAL so i dont know if it was that or not... but this is so frustrating

verbs wouldnt be the reason the download wouldnt even finish in the first place though... im doing something wrong

Ok, your posts are starting to get really confusing. So lets try to get this back on track.
1. Did you or did you not download and extract ALL of the files for the game you want?
2. Did you get the correct version for the version of console you have. Region free or not there is no reason to get a PAL version of any game that they also have in NTSC if you have an NTSC console.
3. As suggested, after you do get the full game and extract it to get the .DVD and ISO files try a better brand of media like Verbatim.
4. If burning the ISO file you need to use IMGburn and manually set the layer break (only used if you are not provided the .DVD file, if you have the .DVD file then that is the file you select when burning)
5. have you checked to see if there is any updated firmware available for your burner, that can sometimes help.
6. and lastly, what game is it, what program are you burning all these with, and at what speed are you burning them?

Ok can you tell after selcting the .dvd file in img burn do we need to still specify the layer break manually at 1913760 or leace it as it is.
