Hi, this is my first post. I've been reading AfterDawn off and on since the PS3 was released.

I recently imported Rock Band into to Australia and was just dying to download some additional content. I spent many hours searching for a solution and apologize if I missed it somewhere posted here. Maybe it should be stickied?

Not to mention all the other goodies, other regions have to offer. Demos!
----------------------------------------------

1. Create a new user account.
Goto to "Users" on the PS3's home menu and create a new user. Log into that user and navigate to the "Playstation Network" and select "Sign Up for PlaystationNetwork"

2. Sign up a new Master account in the desired region
Select "Create a new account". On the next screen choose your region of choice, I'm going to make my region Japan this time. On the following screen select "Master Account" and NOT a sub account. Follow the rest of the prompt, when you need to input an address, just make something up. Maybe your living at Madison Square Gardens like me... You can use Google Maps to get a good address and post code.

3. Sign up for a virtual credit card
I decided the easiest way to purchase from the USA's store was to sign up for a virtual credit card. I used Entropay (www.entropay.com), which was easy and painless. I simply add funds to my virtual credit card with either my VISA or my Debit Mastercard. Entropay provides you with a credit card number, ccv (that's that 3 digit security code) and an expiry date.

4. Let's go shopping!
Go to the Playstation Store and add funds to your wallet. The Name on the credit card is "ENTROPAY USER", insert the credit card number, cvv, expiry date. The next screen will ask you for the billing address. My Madison Square Gardens address is already there and just click continue - YOU DON'T NEED A REAL ADDRESS!

Downside: there's a 4.5% loading fee for the virtual credit card!!!

There are pre-paid cards available in Japan, I believe It's the only way you buy from that store. You can find them on ebay and how to use them on google. However, I have been unable to find where to buy the actual card reader. Pre-paid cards are meant to be released in America soon but I haven't seen anyone mention them yet. I prefer the Entropay solution as i dont need to pay for shipping or a card reader.

The Playstation Network Pre-paid cards must be spent in the region they're bought from.

Hope this helps someone that was in my situation.

Matt.
