What did you do with your banned Xbox360 Console?

I haven't yet bought an xbox360 console, but Im planning to purchase one after my exams.
I will also take the risk and get a modified xbox360 to play backups. Therefore taking the risk that it could be banned from xbox live.
But just wondered, to the people who did get banned from xbox live, what did you do with your banned console?
Keep on playing backups (and your originals), just without the online features? Burn it? Sell it to OAP's? Throw it in the bin? or even try to get it to RROD as fast as possible?

Best thing to do is probably just keep it and buy a cheaper RRoD console off ebay, fix it and use the fixed one for online 360 games and the modded one for your back ups.
If you want to save even more money go with one of those companies who provide you unlimited rental of games as long as your subscribed and keep the game as long as you want.
Your probably not going to spend a lot of time playing many online games anyway only game that I've found I pour a lot of time into over months and years is World of Warcraft.
I have yet to play any other online game that I can sink so many hours into.

personally i kept the banned console for back ups only, like above, then i bought a new Elite for online only. Yeah you have to buy the games you want online but there are only 2-3 games i even play online so for me that was the solution i wanted.

So would it be better to invest into a premodded 'arcade' xbox360 instead of the 'premium' one? Just for starters, so even if i do eventually get the ban, i wont lose out on alot of money.
At least i'll then save abit of cash if i was to get a 2nd xbox for proper online gaming.
But to be honest, all i really want to play online at this moment is gta4.

Yes, buy a cheaper model for sure. Becuase when your ban time comes then you will be buying a stock console for your online needs anyway.

I'll probably just wait until a new f/w comes out, and sell the banned console, and use that money to buy a cheap replacement.

Is an xbox360 better with the hard drive? because I might get the premium one instead ....

I think its better with the hard drive as you don't have to worry about running out of space if you download a lot of stuff from MS Live or have a lot of games.
When you do get banned you can swap the harddrive into a different unit. The ban is placed solely on the console itself, so the harddrive isn't affected.

I like the hard drive for downloadable game content myself. And yes you can swap it between the two consoles.
First i bought the premium (back before HDMI), then after it was banned i just upgraded to a new Elite. So now i have the best of both worlds i guess.
