i bought gta iv today at 2:30pm got home n played it from 3:00 to 1:00am, iv had no freezes at all. i ad to minor jumps but no freezes! im not signed into psn, dont have any music, pictures or videos on my system & my internet browser is totaly clean. no histoy or cache or w/e u call it. so it your exspiriencing freezes back up your whole system! & delete eveything of your ps3. videos, pictures, music, clean ur internet browser completely, delete all demos & dont be singed into psn & it just might stop your freezeing. if not then you may have a faulty game but im guessing rockstar will release a patch for all users so try my idea & so what happens.
We've already figured out that as long as you don't sign into the PSN it wont freeze, its as simple as that just don't sign in regardless of your setup and it wont lock up on you.

wow delete everything i would hate to go with that idea
well maybe if you read what i said. i said back up everything you have on your ps3 THEN delete everything coz if it dosent work u can always restore your stuff.
