So I will be modding my spare xbox 360 with 79 Passkey. I had never soldering before but it looks kinda easy. I visited my local Radio Shack and bought a Dual Heat Soldering gun look here: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search
I have few questions on soldering in this image: http://www.boxxdr.com/79passkey/passkeywirediagram.html do i leave the pins in the red and soldering all other pins or do all of them? I am confuse from there. What i need to do with those red lines?? :{ And also what more accessories do i need to attach my 79 passkey or the soldering gun is the only thing i want? Your Help will be appreciated.. Please serious comments..

OK I can say right away that you cannot do this job. I know this might not sound serious but seriously get someone else with soldering experience to do it for you.

i agree mate, I've been soldering for years as it part of my job and the amount of times people have brought in stereos,psx etcetc for fixing after a botched soldering job amazes me. It'll save you time and $ if you can find someone.

But if you do dit then use thin solder and a thin soldering tip on low heat, first you'll be melting the clear coating then getting to the join so don't be tempted to put high heat too fast!, be patient and you'll be right if not then practise makes perfect good luck.

also tin all yr join locations and wires first.

You got to read the forum rules. You've broken 2 of them already.

And I agree with the others. I don't think you'll have luck soldering this. It is very easy to botch this job.

Have you even opened the dvd drive yet and looked at the board? Because the pics can be deceiving. They make the solder points look big and easy to solder to, but they aren't.
