Currently, I am using Orb to stream my divx movies to the Wii, which is such an awesome feature. The playback at times is still a bit jittery. My question is could the Wii play back these movies if I saved them to an usb external HDD and connect the HDD to the Wii? Can the Wii read the external? I did a search but couldn't find any concrete answers. I would like to know before I go out and buy an external HDD.

there's a software called "wii video 9" that i guess concerts video files to a format readable by the wii, but I havent really used it so I cant help u on how to.

I've looked around and I can't seem to figure out how to play the video files once you've made them. I have the video files on my SD card, but don't know how to tell the wii to play the video files. Anyone know how?

Here is a link to a to the Afterdawn Wii video 9 guide if you can't figure it out. It's a pretty straightforward program.
