I keep getting this error maybe... 1 out of every 4 or 5 discs and its starting to really irritate me. At 16% on img burn while burning a DL disc the write speed falls to 0.0 and the buffer dies and I get an I/O error that says its a Write Error. Its weird because its 16% every time, and it doesnt always happen.
I wish I had the log so I could post it here but I do not. I am using Verbatim DVD DL made in singapore with a Pioneer 112D. I have not had this problem for the past 6 months, and have made 0 changes to anything. The firmware is updated as high as it can. I dont know what the problem is, it just started a few days ago. Anyone got any clue?

To be honest, and yes i know this is wasting another disc, what you need to do is the next time this happens, copy and paste the log from IMGburn here so people can get the whole picture of what is going on.
I/O errors can be many things, the game itself, the burner, the blank discs you use having some bad one's in the batch.

well its a wii game first off so i dunno why you are here,
secondly you are burning as fast as the media can handle which is a no no,
thirdly,User opted to skip the 'Close Track/Session/Disc' functions.
and fourthly could be a bad batch of disks from what i see.
i am not a media expert, just giving you my take on it.
BTW when did you upgrade your pc to SP1? that could be half of your battle.

1. Well, its a DL game thats why I'm here, as its the only DL game and I do have the same problems with xbox 360 games, this was just the only time I got a copy of the log. Its any DL game though, and a rare ocassion that it happens.
2. Yeah, that time was an accident, average burn is 2.4x
3. I opted to skip because that option comes up once the burn has already failed and it asks if you still want to attempt to close the disc, which would be pointless since the burning did not get finished.
4. Perhaps, but it isnt just this one batch, this has been a problem with a few discs from at least 3 different packs of verbatims, so I dont think it was just the 1 batch.
As far as SP1, I am not quite sure, im on a vista PC though so not sure if that makes a difference, didnt have any problems with the burner on xp.

you dont know what sp1 is? that means service pack 1. which you have vista i know, sp1 is part of windows updates and probablly updated to service pack 1 while you were obviously unaware. sp1 isnt a little upgrade, but a big one. i think that that might be your problem.
