wow I can't wait to play the 394th port of Doom, this time maybe on the wii! Or maybe I'll play emulators which I can already do in gamecube mode!!!!! O-M-G maybe we can even run LINUX!!?!?!?!? and watch really choppy movies if they fit on a SD Card?? NO WAY![/sarcasm].
Homebrew blows.

You obviously have no concept of Homebrew and to waste the time trying to break it down to you on a level that you can understand would be feeble. You do realize that you wouldn't have been able to run any homebrew in GC mode if homebrew did indeed "blow".

I know exactly what homebrew is. It sucks my balls. The nerds always get their pants wet w/ excitement because they can run their codes on yet another console but really it's useless. No practical value whatsoever for the general user.
The only decent thing to ever come out of homebrew (other than actual mod-chips themselves if you consider that "homebrew") is emulation, and yes the thought of having a gazillion games available to play on the TV (even though you could easily do all of it 20x better on a computer for a long time now) may seem sweet, but in reality you may play 0.001% of those games and even then you get bored of it in record time.
I'm well aware homebrew on the GC made this possible. I have a DVD w/ roms and emus from like 4 systems. I've played it once and now it's gathering dust just like all the other emulation/homebrew discs or dvds i've made for all my past systems. I used to be a frequenter of dcemulation.com homebrew scene. I used to get excited too. But please see the light, it's trash.
Bottom line = homebrew is a waste of time.

You raise some valid points but miss one important one. If you dislike homebrew then DONT USE IT. No one is making you install or do anything you dont want. Let the people here be happy with what they have.
Alot of homebrew programs may be a waste of time, but not as much as you ranting about how much you hate them.

There is always an exception, and I'll make one for xbox no problem. But I stay by my stance, I'll just slightly modify it and say MOST homebrew sucks. I don't see anything of use coming out for the wii.
I'll gladly eat my words if they do. You can even bump this thread and say I told you so.

BINKIE: I'Ve reviewed the rules carefully, I'm just sharing my opinion about homebrew.
Besides what's a forum w/o a couple good rants eh? I'm not insulting anyone am I? Anyways if "ranting" about a relevant subject is against the rules then fine I'll just be a quiet little boy and continue answering questions lol I'm not trying to start beef w/ nobody especially not the moderation.

Ranting is one thing brucedlx being rude about it is another.
IMO your first post is nothing more than a rude insult of Kafluke's post about homebrew.
Then you post 'It sucks my balls.' - now that's just rude and some would say offensive.
Then you wonder someone gets riled up ?????
Like I said rant but let's try the mature approach.
And again yes I know the rules - I'm basing it one this one:
