It blows big time. But like the rest of the world thats life. Big companies buy out other companies all the time (Tim Hortons being bought out by TDL for example)

Well, it sucks big time as it seems that EA doesnt care about the PS3 and ports everything over, thus always receiving lower ratings from ign for ps3 versions of their games. I always dont like how EA buys all the rights to licenses and companies. They are trying to control the entire video gaming marker. Its better to be the best at one thing than be the jack of all trades. Stick to sports...atleast you're guaranteed to control the market since instead of actually competing to make the better game you just buy rights to the entire league.

yes, they developed GTA IV which is the center of this big mess didnt they. thats why they were holding out, b/c they knew the only reason EA was pushing so hard about am onth ago was so that they could pretty much steal GTA from them.

Omg if EA takes over this game is gonna suck soooo bad. I cant think of one game that ea has which i think is decent :S

yes it really is old news. and take two didnt say no. they just said they werent going to think about selling until GTA 4 dropped b/c they figured the value of the company would increase, and they were right.I believe a share of take two is actually worth more than a share from EA right now. go figure.

I think everyone is taking a negative look at this. EA getting worse reviews from IGN doesn't mean that EA doesn't care about PS3 users. Companies don't work like that. They don't have opinions on systems, they just make games. EA isn't going to just spend millions if not billions on an extremely successful company just to let it fall apart because they don't like the PS3. Most likely, GTA will still be awesome and so will the rest of their games. You'll just see a different label on it.

True, but companies are also about profits and developing a game for one console and porting it to the other is a whole lot cheaper than developing a game for both consoles, the PS3 being the more difficult to custom tailor games to gets the short straw on that deal. Especially since their attitudes about the ps3 right now is "they'll eat up anything we give them" because we don't have much selection gamewise atm so they figure we'll go for anything that comes out.

if ea do take over youll probably be playing with a kid called "jeremy" and the only assualt rifle in the game will be a kid with a super soaker.
lets hope this is "old news" and take two will take over ea [cough]not gonna happen[/cough]

40GB users can use the money they saved on their PS3 to buy a PS2. I'm thinkin abut buying a PS2 from my buddy and making a flip top. He only wants like $50 but it'd be worth keeping it around for the free games.
