to my understanding from what i have read on these forums is that a programmer would be a good thing to buy. You would need it to reflash your chip if you ever screw up because once you flash your chip and don't have the cromwell bios on the chip you won't be able to flash it again, except with the programmer. So i woulg recomend in buying it.

Peace

You dont need it. I didnt get one. Yea its nice to have if you screw up. But if you screw you up have to buy it then. So if you dont screw up then you just wasted that money.

From what i understand, it does come pre-flashed, but with the cromwell bios. the cromwell bios are basically what allow you to flash your chip with the bios of your choice (ex:xecuter or evox).

After looking around I found EvolutionX M7 BIOS, SlaYers_EvoX_AutoInstaller_v2.5FINAL and EvolutionX Build 3935. Is this all I will need, should I use SlaYers_EvoX_AutoInstaller or just EvolutionX? THX...

First flash your chip, with the bios. After that you'll be able to use the Slayer's Auto installer or Evox. I would suggest to use the slayer's cd because it has a lot of apps already in it including evoX. So you don't have to search the internet for vast hours.
