What are the chances of when putting in your wii chip (mine being d2pro) that it will brick, like the percentages?

i think putting it in wouldnt brick your wii, its when the updates from different region that will brick your wii.

the previous post is absolutely right - putting on a chip will not brick your wii. You brick your wii when you play a game of another region than your wii that has a newer updated. Lets say your wii is currently 3.1 and u put a different region game with a 3.2 update, then ur wii will brick when it attempts to install the update. If you plan on using the modchip just to play backup copies of the same region then you shouldn't have to worry about bricking.

Whats with all the people asking the odds of bricking their wii lately? Theres no odds involved in the matter. If you do it right then you should be fine. If you mess something up or do something stupid then you might get bricked.

Assuming that you dont break something during the install or do any out-of-region updates after you install, the wii will almost certently be fine.

i have never got a brick because i took the time to read about how to make games work before i do something stupid..one time i almost updated when i didn't know about region bricks, and thank god i didnt
