Whenever I use total newbie installer pandoras menu and choose universal unbricker I get this error:

>>>PSP MS IPL Installer
>>> Load IPL code msipl.bin
>>>Can?t open msipl.bin

I also tried to use the magic memory card easy installer and I can't copy the files to the memory stick manually.

I am trying to make it make a magic memory card then a pandoras battery. My PSP is v2.6 and I am going to upgrade it to 2.71 then downgrade to 1.5 then install CFW.

I've been battling with this thing for 3+ hours. Any advice is appreciated.

Same problems when using the guide referred by mrgooey. I'm guessing my memory stick is bad because whenever I have to copy files to the root it keeps saying "Error copying file or folder."

I want to make Pandora's battery but I hear that before removing the pin to backup the eeprom. How do u backup the eeprom? I know I have to use pandora's battery creator, but I can't find it. I know you don't have to back it up, but I just want to.

Sorry for posting these easy questions guys. I feel a little embarassed to say it, but I've been working on this for hours and I am still on square 1.

Got it!!! Made the Magic MS! I used a different cable and different USB port and it worked!

There isn't a way to backup the eeprom without having a cfw psp right?

I guess I'll be buying a Datel tool. I think I just ruined my battery. I was trying to remove the pin and I heard a little pop and a little smoke came out...

I probably shouldn't try to turn on the psp with it should I?

You guys got any reputable places where I could buy it? I see some on ebay and they go for like $45 with shipping.
