Hi all - long time reader, first time poster =)

I recently downloaded from usenet a backup of my EBGames Pre-Owned CoD4 game which has since turned unreadable (piece of shi@&!^#$@&!* !!). I've been playing with it and everything works fine, but I read some stuff about stealth checks and what not and was wondering if group releases tend to be pre-stealthed or if I should be worried? The .nfo file didn't really say anything regarding stealth; it only gave a general description of CoD4.

I'm flashed with iextreme 1.4 if that makes any difference.

Any help is much appreciated =)

Most of the time they are pre-stealhed but sometimes it depends on the group. It should be be ok most likely but if you dont feel comfortable do it yourself

Ooh ok thank you. I also just now read that iextreme will not even play the games if they are not properly stealthed. Is this true? So do I not need to worry about it?

Use the DVDmulleter to check the files you download to ensure they are stealth patched.

Yes xtreme 1.4 won't play games if they aren't properly patched.

i use usenet and 99.9% of the stuff on there is stealthed. i would just do what slimdawg said, but most likely if it is a newer game you are fine.
