Hi guys,
here's a link to a very useful piece of software for the wii. It allows you to have multiple elf files on a single SD card, without the need to erase one and put in another everytime you want to lauch an application.
It allows the following:
- loading ELF & DOL files.
- nice menu
- can be used without gamecube controller
- Can return to the WII meny just by pressing Z button.

your right dude, I took it for granted :)
here's how to use it

1) the SD card should be in FAT/FAT16.
2) unrar the MAG_Loader.rar file.
3) Rename the file magloader.elf to boot.elf then copy it to the root of the SD card. create a new folder in the root called 'elf' and put in all the ELF & DOL files you want to load with the MAG Loader.

4) Copy the folder MAG (folder you get extraxted in step 1) into the ELF folder of the SD card. Please not that you should copy the entire folder, not just the content.

5) Insert the SD in your Wii and load it with Twilight hack or homebrew channel.
enjoy :)

it's in spanish, but it's very easy to use. as for the install, just follow the steps I listed it will be installed.
once installed, and launched, just press the A button and it will give you the list of elf to chose from.

The actual homebrew channel enables you to load homebrews on your wii, duhhh :)
You load them by renaming the application (whateverApp.elf) to boot.elf and place it in the root of the SD card. By definition you can only have one file called "boot.elf" at a time in the root of your SD, which means you have to rename the application you want to use to boot.elf (after deleting or renaming the one u no longer want to use).
The value added of the MAG loader is that you have one file in your root of your sd called boot.elf (the one that comes with the MaG Loader) and you put all the apps you may want to run in one folder called elf.
This gives you a way to chose the application to use dynamically at boot time.
Hope this helps

ye understood.

but with the HB channel you do the same, but you dont have to go through the hasstle of the tp hack.

in a folder called homebrew on your root of your SD card you make subfolders with the boot.elf of the app and a title.txt file with the apps name(to be displayed on your new channel)

you load the channel via the tp hack, and once done you dont need the tp hack.

im using it now and loving it, i strongly suggest that HB users give it a try.

in this app you dont need to modify the .txt file. You just throw it in the ELF folder and it's taken into account at boot time.
But buttom line, if you love your actual way, you can keep it, just keep in mind that there is another alternative :)

I am an old player as I first started playing video games back in 1986. I had the ATARI at that time, then comodore, spectrum etc. My first console in the newer format was SNES (though I bought later a NES for peanutes), ever since I always had to have a nintendo console and sthg else, but must have a nintendo. I didnt buy nintendo gamecube because of the lack of games and a chipped GC was not available in my country (but finally I have it with the wii).
I really love their products as they're of very good quality.
I got a ps2 slim early 2005 and it stopped after few months till 2007 when I had it well fixed. (shows the quality of the product)
I agree with your choice and I expect wiibrew to have a very good future on this console as its owners are enthousiast, not just gamers.
