i have a brand new wii console and am told i need a special chip called argon or something like that and it costs about 60.00. i have been to the modchipstore and am not sure which one it is as i don't see anything called argon help please.

Do not buy anything from modchipstore. To many issues with that online store ever since ownership changed hands a while ago.

Your best bet is to buy it from modchipcentral.com which you can find HERE.

Most modchip stores are no longer in the USA due to the D.M.C.A but modchipcentral is based in Canada and have a pretty good turn around on their orders. You usually get it within 4 to 7 days.

Yes that is an ARGON.

I would order an Infectus2 instead of an ARGON. It is a little more then the ARGON but you get the programmer with it. If you buy the ARGON you will need to buy the Injectus programer to update the ARGON so it ends up being more in the long run.

Infectus2 = $62.95 (Programmer is included)

ARGON + Injectus = $82.90

They are both made by the same team which is team Infectus. They both offer the same options. The difference between the 2 is that the Infectus 2 is a multi-platform Modchip. It can be used in PS2/PS3/Xbox 360/Wii.
