Getting PS2 to load backup ps1 game?

Is there a way to get a PS1 backup to load on a PS2 with swap magic? I have a fat model PS2, so the slide top/magic chip thing isnt installed... as its not needed.

All I can find anywhere is how to do it with the Slim PS2.

Also Does Gameshark LITE work on PS2 to load PS1 games? Or should I get Breaker Pro? I can get gameshark lite on ebay for 5 bucks but cheapest breaker pro I can find is going to be 20 bucks or so... Anyone wanna sell me their old / extra copy of breaker pro? lol

Don't be so judgemental. Sometimes all the elites are not here you know.

I tried to do what you say, but have had no luck. I heard if you can load an original PS1 game at the main menu, the one where it shows the memory card and the black disc, use a slide tool and swap out the original PS1 disc with your backed up PS1 game.

I tried this but could never get past the PSX logo. Not sure if it is because of brand of CD-R, but I never got it to work.

This may help.
Change the backup to a DVD. To do that you have to use DVDscanlite 3.7 (freeware) and maybe some dummy files, but it does work.
