How to find out Wiikey firmware?

I bought my Wii with the Wiikey pre-installed, although I'm unsure of what firmware it has. Just wondering what's the best way to go about finding out? I plan to update to 1.9s (if it isn't already updated). Do I actually NEED to find out what firmware I have? Could it do any damage overwriting it with 1.9s if thats what is already installed?

Also once I'm done, is it safe to update my Wii online with the 1.9s firmware on my Wiikey? Oh and it's a PAL Wii btw if that makes any difference?

done need to check..just get 1.9s and update it. no dame will be done. As for updating online, dont do it unless you need to, although it will do no harm.
