USB read/write is a reality. This program is able to read/write usb drives.

how about something like ripping games to a usb harddrive like the xbox....

Does this mean I can use a hard drive to save all my games on and quit using the sd card/wii memory to save???

I'd still like an iso loader just for the fact that when I go on a trip I dont want to have to bring stacks of games. I put a hard drive in my ps2 for the same reason and loved it. Backed up all my games to the drive.

Sure a wii version would have to be an external drive so a bit less conveinent but still it would be a step up from stacks of CD cases.

Edit: Actually if we got a working iso loader I bet we'd start seeing wii casemods with a drive slot.

loading stuff from harddrive would kick arsies :)
sthg like hdloader for the ps2 or USBextreme (now that the wii has USB 2.0 as opposed to 1.1 of ps2)

Wii has USB 1.1 as far as I know. Which wiis have usb 2.0?

The ps2 has 1.1, all WIIs have 2.0.

ah well I wasn't sure, but on console-scene forums someone said that the wii had usb1.1 ports only.
