ok i got a copy of okami obviously not original and im not sure which region its for but it doesnt work on my jap wii. i have wiikey and i did the update for 1.9s and im sure its not the dvd media because i copied it to an imation which never has problems and it didnt work. the screen pic of it worked but the screen went black when it started. also i already tried using freeloader which i downloaded from the internet and it still didnt work.

wats ur wii firmware? if u can play mario kart then u should be able to play okami, just wbb and regionfrii the image.

your wii is probably a jap wii. Using a jap wii with Okami doesn't work unless if you use a wii language changer. ( thats not the real name though). i can tell you what you need to do on msn, since some things you need to do is illegal

i can confirm that is not true cuz i have a jap wii and all i did is wbb and regionfrii the iso with no problem.

Like i have said again and again there are fakes going around be carefull some are to track illegal downloads of wii games and others are just malware and spyware.

the problem i have is that the copy i have is one i bought so i dont have the iso but if you know how to extract the iso from a copy then that would help. also i am capable of copying the disc using nero since its not original if you know a way to add regionfree to it while its copying or something like that.
oh i forgot i dont know what firmware i have but i did the update that mario kart asked for and it worked.

i managed to make a file from it with an extension nrg using nero which is short for nero disc image. can i just rename it to iso or do i have to do something to it. and thanks for all your help in advance, i forgot to mention that earlier

u need to use rawdump to create image from it if your dvd rom can read the wii disc.

ok after a bit of searching and a lot of work i made an iso added regionfrii and brickblocker. i also found out the exact region of the game,US, but it still doesnt work. the pic comes up on the game channel but when i click start the screen becomes all black. i also had this problem with animal crossing when i downloaded it from the internet but thats probably a different problem since animal crossing is a gamecube game. but if you have an info on animal crossing then id be grateful for that. bob also mentioned a wii language changer, whats that all about.

the wii language patcher mentioned above i believe is the trucha signer program, some games require u to change the language menu of the iso in order to play it on a wii with different region. u can probably find some info by doing search in this forum.

i just want to mention that the black screen doesnt have any writing or any message. its like when the screen goes black when the game is loading for a few seconds after clicking start but instead of the game loading it just stays black.

they mention in the guide for trucha signer that you need a file called Prophets modified __update.inf and they give a link to it but the link is dead so does anyone here know where i can download it. thanks for all your help thus far.
