I have a movie file which is 6.7gb,how do I get it onto a dvdr, any help would be greately appreciated, as I am brand new at this

You can compress is with DvdShrink 3.1 and write it to a DVD with Nero. Guides for both programs can be found on this site under the "guides" tab.

And if you run into trouble, come back here and tell us what you did and we'll together try figuring out what went wrong.
Oh and one more thing, don't go for the cheapest DVD-R discs you can find, they usually don't work too well.
