wierd wiikey problems

Hey i recently installed a wiikey on my DMS chipset, i had to solder directly to the chip because of botches solder pads. i can boot the multi emulator disc thing that has like 2k roms and the config disc and the update disc and updated to 1.9s. i can run originals but no wii backups have worked so far. i downloaded SMG and it loads the splash screen but then when i click start it freezes forever. Same thing with zelda twilight princess. same thing with both, i've tried TDK media, SONY media and Philips media. i can't find verbatim's or i would try those. i have installed a different wiikey on the console and the same thing results. could it be my downloads? oh i've also tried burning on two different burners, one a lite-on in a desktop and the other in my laptop. any suggestions?
