Hello Neo,
Could you tell us more about your system? That Is waaaaay to long.

Your PC, especially the RAM, does seem like it could use an upgrade for DVD copying, but that's still an awful long time. The biggest limiting factor is the drive/media speed. With my old Duron 1000 machine with a 2x burner it never took more than 35-40 minutes to burn. If you've burned other DVDs at normal speed using the same software on the same PC with the same burner, the software I'd be suspicious of is Windows or any software you might have added since your last "normal" burn. What version of Windows are you on, and have you added any software lately?

Shrink 3.1.2 needs 512 MB to work normally. Look at your performance while ripping with Shrink.Open task manager and check out your Page File Usage.

I notice there is a Shrink 3.1.3 b4.

One thing I've found helps is to try re-booting before starting the burning process. The other thing that may be a possibility; I just had my burner die on me. (It was an LG though.) The last 20 or so burns before it died; the burn speed had slowed to 1X, and the last 4 burns didn't take properly at all.

All the bruning info you need to start is here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php#dvd9dvd2one

hmm.. ly program i added after i put the drive in was DVD Shrink and powerdvd.the other day i uninstalled easy cd creator 5 which i used for cd-r's.
im using Win XP.the first program i used to burn when i got the drive was Nero 5.5 and it didnt work so i used copytodvd and got to burn one dvd successfully. after that my burn took almost two days to get to 90%.i know a ram upgrade would definitly help but it burned fine once so i know it works.getting a RW of each kind and expirementing might help.ive made about 7coasters.
